Getaway Car
The cold Virginia skyline was full of angels,
there to carry me home.
Out of my mind and out on my own.
And so it is that we survived,
and maybe we can find
the place we see when we’re dreaming
Virginia. Where I’m from.
It’s out there
I’ll be the plane that takes you away,
but baby don't crash me.
I’ll be your getaway car,
baby don't wreck me.
With the windows down we can blow this town.
it’s a straight shot up to the mountains.
Sail the river mystery, and lie beneath
the ink
dark moon I haven’t seen since I was young

and we’ll be far away...
